Somerset Seniors v Gloucestershire Seniors (Channel League)
Thank you so much for agreeing to host the above match at your club against Glamorgan on Friday 4th of August 2023.
The match requirements are as follows
Format- Five x Greensomes match-play starting at 10 30 a.m. – 9 holes only
Ten x Singles match-play starting at 13.30 p.m. All timings are provisional and subject to change at your discretion. Please advise of any change. If demand for tee times is high on the day the afternoon singles can double up (5 tee times) This option is not favoured by the players.
Course- Men's Competition Medal Tees Reasonable Pin Positions (6, 6, 6) G.U.R. areas clearly marked by white lines Printed notice of any Local Rules not shown on Score Cards
Practice- Would you please grant requests for a Practice Round for the Gloucestershire team at the county card rate?
Arrival- 9.00 to 9:30 a.m. Bacon/sausage sandwiches and coffee are requested by the Somerset team. Gloucestershire players and officials may also wish to purchase refreshments however this expenditure will not be covered by the Somerset Golf Union) and counties have been asked to pre order whenever possible.
Lunch- A light, one course meal to be served on a rolling basis. A pasta dish with salad and garlic bread would be ideal. We would be happy to hear of any other suggestions from your catering team. The first Players should be ready to eat by about 12.30 noon
Evening- A selection of sandwiches, cakes, and tea for 24 people, served on a rolling basis as the players come in. 5.30pm would be a good time to start. Please ring me if you are in doubt over choice of food.
Payment- The account should be sent to the County Secretary for immediate settlement. The maximum number of meals should be 24 unless the SGU captain authorises otherwise. No other items of expenditure are permissible without the authority of the SGU Captain, President, or County Secretary
