Dress Code

We pride ourselves on being a century old Members' Club which respects tradition but also has a very modern approach. We expect all our Members, visitors and guests to maintain a smart standard of dress whether on the course or in the Clubhouse.

Within the Clubhouse the Steward and his staff or the Managing Secretary, are authorised to ensure that the dress of any individual meets an acceptable standard and may require them to leave the Clubhouse should they fail to do so.

The standard of dress for play on the course will be determined by the Head Professional and his staff or the Managing Secretary.

Clothing Guidelines

On Course

A smart standard of recognised golf attire is required at all times. Golf shoes and socks must be worn. Traditional tailored shorts are acceptable. Please see Dress Code Course posters for details.

In the Clubhouse

We are proud of our Clubhouse and require all of us to respect this and dress appropriately. Smart casual (which can include smart denim) is the expected dress code; for some special functions more formal attire, e.g. jacket and tie, may be required.

The following are not permitted at any time; golf shoes, trainers, hats or caps, tracksuits, rugby and football shirts and beachwear including flip flops.

Please Note: For the comfort of all we must ask that no dirty, wet or perspiration marked clothing is worn in the Clubhouse.
