The "FLAG" Away Day was this year held at Farrington. With his usual consummate skill Vic Shaw persuaded 40 players to participate. Unfortunately the early starters had some rather unpleasant weather, but this did not deter them as all the winners came from those starters. The winner, with a very fine score of 41 points, was Merv Cottell. In second place was Roger "oh no" Ashton with 39 and third was once again, always in the frame, Brian Francis with 38 points. The count back enabled Keith Millard to garner in fourth place also on 38. The Team Prize went to Vic Shaw, Merv Cottell, Brian Francis and Colin Clifton. Runners up were Vic Shaw's Team.
The Turkey Trot Bowmaker, on Sunday, was played in autumnal weather. Scoring was good in most cases
but there was one team who scored an abysmal 59 points! Keith Millard and Chris Bryant are both
playing well, but when they bring in a ringer off 20 handicap, they were sure to scoop the field.
Alan Evans-Jones is another player who is playing well at the moment.
